Reds Win at Duns in Final Game

Duns 7 – 52 Linlithgow
The Reds turned in a strong second-half performance at Duns to close out their league season. They finished third in Tennents East 1 with 59 points from 12 wins.

Awesome French Tour for U14s

The U14s had an unforgettable experience with their recent tour to SW France, which was set up by Malcolm Dunn and the coaching team with help from former Scotland star Johnnie Beattie (pictured above meeting the team) who is now living and working in the Bayonne area.

North Berwick too strong for Reds

Linlithgow 12 – 40 North Berwick
A slick and highly motivated North Berwick team ran in 6 tries to all but claim the Tennents East 1 league title at Mains Park. A brace from Ross Plenderleith was all the Reds could manage in return.
Saturday 01 April
Reds Claim Bonus Point Win

Linlithgow 43 – 27 Forrester
Despite a below par performance, the Reds ran in a bonus point victory against a gritty Forrester team. There were tries for Conor Findlay and Shaun Lamb on their debuts.

Ross High Edge Reds Again

Linlithgow 14 – 17 Ross High
Ross High followed up on their one point win earlier in the season with another win in a close game to reinforce their league position. Tries from Cammy Murrie and Ross Martin were not quite enough to claim the day.
Young Reds U16 Eased Out
at Semi-Final Stage
Watsons 20 – 10 Linlithgow
This has been some year for the Young Reds U16s who have achieved much over the course of the season.

Young Reds S2s Blank Lasswade
Lasswade 0 – 53 Linlithgow
The Young Reds S2s turned in an another cracking performance when they travelled through to Lasswade on Friday night for a game under the lights.

Broughton 19 – 33 Linlithgow
The Reds struggled to reach the levels of the previous weekend, but still came away from Wardie with 5 points having scored 5 tries.

Reds Sunk by Stewartry after Titanic Struggle
Linlithgow 40 – 47 Stewartry
Linlithgow and Stewartry served up a great spectacle for the large crowd to watch with both teams keen to keep the ball in hand as the 10 tries scored on the day suggests.

Scottish Rugby Confirms New Tackle Law Trials for Next Season

Following consultation with community rugby stakeholders, Scottish Rugby’s Club Rugby Board (CRB) has approved a lower tackle height law trial for implementation across the community game, from the start of the 2023/24 season.
Wee Reds Micros Make Tournament Debuts

The sun shone brightly on Sunday over the Wee Reds Micros tournament with teams from Boroughmuir, Stirling, Livingston & Forrester. It was fantastic to see so many of our Linlithgow kids turn out, keen to get stuck in and show off their skills against local teams.
Young Reds Have Mixed Fortunes

The S2s visited Dunbar and came away with a win before they head off on tour to south-west France. Meanwhile the S1s hosted a visiting team from Wetherby on Sunday.
Here is a ‘Bon Voyage” photo of the U14s who set off for France on Thursday morning. In fact, even as I’m writing this we are bouncing down the E5 from Bordeaux to Hossegor, where we will play les garçons du coin tomorrow night. (Gordon Muir – coach; message relayed via Ken in Australia!!)
